During an interview on Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” Tea Party Caucus leader Michele Bachmann (R-MN) refused to back down from previous (2009) comments characterizing the Obama administration as a “gangster government.” She may have even doubled down.

“I don’t take back my statement on gangster government,” she told host David Gregory. “I think that there have been actions that have been taken by this government that I think are corrupt, thoroughly corrupt.”

“I believe the actions of this government have been emblematic of ones that have not been based on true American values,” she added, before coming close to doubling down on her previous comments: “I think the president’s actions in the last two years speak for themselves.”

Many may not be aware of the Pigford settlement, the mainstream media has all but ignored what amounts to a flood gate of reparations soon to be paid out to “black farmers.”

Black farmers is in quotes above because the necessity of proof  of  USDA discrimination on the part of individuals in this settlement is laughable.  Fill out some minor paperwork claiming you were denied USDA loans because you are black and shazam.. you are entitled to $50,000 in reparations from the government.  No proof needed, other than your word since the USDA did not keep files of the loans applications which were turned down.

Are you aren’t reading this freedom fighter, you should be !

Section 8 of the Motor Voter law requires removal of voters when they are found to be ineligible to vote.   The some of the reasons for removal from voter rolls can be because the individuals have died, moved or are no longer eligible to vote because of criminal conviction.  By failing to enforce Section 8, we have a Chicago style disregard for the election process with the potential of massive voter fraud.  It has long been “joked” about in the Chicago area, that the dead come alive on election day, but this no NO joking matter.  This threatens to circumvent the entire process of the people having the freedom to elect representatives who will serve their interests.

We have seen what appears to now be corruption in the Civil Rights and Voter Sections of the Department of Justice, how deep does this blatant and obscene disregard for the laws of this great land extend ?

You can’t make up the corruption and dereliction of duty coming from this administration…

On June 18, 2010, Arizona Republican Senator Jon Kyl told the audience at a North Tempe Tea Party town hall meeting that during a private, one-on-one meeting with President Obama in the Oval Office, the President told him, regarding securing the southern border with Mexico, “The problem is, . . . if we secure the border, then you all won’t have any reason to support ‘comprehensive immigration reform.’” [Audible gasps were heard throughout the audience.] Sen. Kyl continued, “In other words, they’re holding it hostage. They don’t want to secure the border unless and until it is combined with ‘comprehensive immigration reform.’”

Sen. Kyl also said he reminded President Obama that the President and the Congress has an obligation, a duty, to secure the border.

The pResident is  ignoring  the security and well-being of Americans.  Is willful neglect  impeachable ?

Andrew Romanoff, the former speaker of the Colorado house of representatives, issued a statement Wednesday evening claiming that the White House raised the possibility that he might be offered an administration job if he opted to not challenge incumbent Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo.

Romanoff also released what he said was an e-mail from White House deputy chief of staff Jim Messina outlining three possible jobs — deputy assistant administrator for Latin America and Caribbean for the U.S. Agency for International Development; director of the Office of Democracy and Governance at USAID; and director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency – he could have if he didn’t run.

Romanoff did not accept any of the offers, and currently is challenging Bennet, who has the endorsement of President Obama.

The White House did not comment. The statement comes as the White House attempts to distance itself from the controversy stemming from attempts – also unsuccessful – to convince Rep. Joe Sestak, D-Pa., to not challenge Sen. Arlen Specter, D-Pa., in the Pennsylvania primary. Sestak ultimately defeated Specter.

What you hadn’t heard about this quid pro quo deal to drop out of the Senate race in exchange for a White House job offer?  Funny this was originally reported on back in September 2009 by the Denver Post.

There appears to be a new era of “transparency” in the White House, actually a re-definition of standard English.  Transparency now means this administration is allowed to display through words one sentiment in the public arena and do something quiet different behind the scenes.  There are now two cases by the White House which on appearance violate federal law Romanoff and Sestak.  ahe recent statement release from the White House on the Sestek offer opens more questions for additional inquiry then it answered. IF and again this is a big IF, there was no shady dealings involved in these circumstances then why did the White House wait months to answer questions regarding the facts surrounding the job offer with Sestak?

Time and again parts of the lamestream media are commenting on how situations as these are standard operating procedures in politics, if true and I have no reason to doubt them the public should be outraged and demand a full independent investigation.  We have a pResident who championed how he would do things different if elected pResident, little did we know that he was talking about bringing overt partisanship, backroom deals and the corruption which plagues Chicago to Washington.

Illinois politics are a strange mix of Capone style authority and party over the will of the people.

Scott Lee Cohen, the pawnbroker whose surprise victory in last week’s Democratic lieutenant governor primary was followed by scandalous revelations about him, quit the race tonight during the half time of the Super Bowl, saying he didn’t want to “put the people of Illinois in jeopardy in any way.”

Cohen’s candidacy was widely perceived as a potential disaster for Gov. Pat Quinn and the rest of the Democratic ticket in the November general election.

When Cohen became a candidate, he disclosed that a 2005 domestic battery charge against him had been dismissed. It was only after his victory Tuesday that the details became known: His girlfriend at the time, a prostitute, had accused him of holding a knife to her throat but had failed to appear in court, leading to charges being dropped.

Yes, Cohen won with 26% of the Democratic vote during the primary.  Was he the best candidate?  No, his past displays of violence should have been made known by the Democratic party prior to the election.  The question which nags in my mind is.. why didn’t the Illinois Democratic party expose this abuser for what he was prior to the primary?  I can only see two potential reasons: 1.) The Illinois Democratic party did not think he had a prayer of winning the primary and hence chose not to inform the voters, or 2.)  The Illinois Democratic party knew that regardless of who won the primary they could maneuver, Chicago-style, their preferred candidate in to the position.

Cohen at first adamantly refused to quit, doing a series of media interviews to present his position that the allegations against him were overblown and that he had been transparent about his background when he first got in the race in early 2009. But he was drowned out by a chorus of Democratic calls for him to quit.

While I find the behavior by Cohen contemptible, the point here is that he was elected by the people of Illinois.  The Illinois Democratic party was  complacent over the abuse accusations.. they helped usher the abuser in to office.  And now they cry foul?  So what’s in it for them?

Steve Brown, a spokesman for Michael Madigan, the Democatic party chairman and Illinois House speaker, said work would begin soon on picking a replacement.

“The speaker is prepeared to work with the members of the (Democratic) State Central Committee, Gov. Quinn and Senate President (John) Cullerton to work on selecting a replacement,” Brown said. “We’ll start with members of the central committee and work on ideas.”

Selection of a replacement to fill the ballot vacancy is the work of the 38-member Democratic State Central Committee, made up of a male and female representative from each of the state’s 19 congressional districts. The state central committee is scheduled to meet March 17, though a meeting could be held sooner.

The state central committee is not bound to select any of the candidates who lost to Cohen in last week’s primary. State Rep. Art Turner of Chicago, a member of Madigan’s House leadership team who was backed by the powerful Southwest Side lawmaker, finished second to Cohen.

Apparently in Illinois, the voice of the people does not matter.  The most obvious replacement would be the number two candidate on the primary ticket, but that is unlikely to occur.  Now the Democratic party is salivating over their chance to hand-pick the running mate of the Democratic Gubernatorial candidate.    As the disgraced indited former Democratic Governor Blagojevich (Blago) stated when talking about filling the President elect Senate’s seat.. “This is f%$#@% golden.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) defended Congress’ work on a healthcare bill Tuesday saying the process has displayed historic transparency, just as C-SPAN mounts an effort to open the negotiations.

C-SPAN wrote a letter to congressional leaders Tuesday asking that TV cameras be allowed to film negotiations to reconcile the House and Senate versions of healthcare reform legislation.

But Pelosi said Congress has already been transparent throughout the process.

“There has never been a more open process for any legislation,” Pelosi said at a press conference. (emphasis mine)

How can she even begin to say this with a straight face?  What can only be described as backroom deals which resulted in bribes for key Senatorial votes, that is “transparency?”  Congress believes the American people fools and unable to see through the blatant corruption that now overflows, like a backed up sewer from Washington.

Pelosi also hinted that holding informal negotiations–likely without TV cameras–might be the most practical way to push the legislation through.

“We will do what is necessary to pass the bill,” Pelosi said.

I’m sure you will, including.. additional bribes, threats and guarantees to particular caucus groups which cater to special interests.  Can we say… Immigration reform, instead of actually enforcing the current laws.

Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), assistant to the Speaker, said the healthcare bill had been “subjected to unprecedented level of public scrutiny.”(emphasis mine)

And what have the American people been consistently saying the summer?  They don’t want Congress or the administration cramming this insane bill through Congress.  Most recent Rasmussen poll shows, 42% of registered voters are in favor of reform, while 52% oppose.  I would suggest that the public scrutiny is only the accumulated efforts of patriots, who spent countless hours pouring over the legislation and digging through the 2,000 plus page documents;   something that many elected officials did not even bothered to do, before voting in favor of the bill in the House.  Case in point, my own slime ball non-representative Visclosky, whose own office told me you had to be “special,” to read the legislation.

“We don’t even know if there’s going to be a conference committee,” he said, alluding to the likelihood that Democrats will reconcile the two bills behind closed doors.
Pressed on whether C-SPAN cameras would be allowed in negotiations, Van Hollen hedged.

How many time did Obama state that the hearings on health care would be transparent?  He suggested repeatedly all the negotiations would be  carried on CSpan, now we are subject to corruption and special interests groups having a seat at the table , while the voice of the American people is ignored.

Mr. President and Congress… it is you who are without shame!  The American people see this and 2010 will be the start of the cleaning process to remove the dirt, the shameless and the corruption from Congress.
