Courage To See

No this issue has not gone away, in fact today there is a protest of bringing these scumbags to the United States for a criminal trial.  While I am not physically there, I may there in support of the individuals who are protesting this heinous move by Obama and Holder.

Why are the rights afforded United States citizens being given to murderous terrorists, especially when they were captured on the battle field?  We have arrogant narcissists in the administration whose focus is clear on one thing.. giving terrorists the very freedoms, they are attempting to take away from us!

Three Navy Seals are set to be arraigned on Monday, for allegedly punching a Iraqi terrorist.

Not just any terrorist…

Three Navy SEAL commandos, who recently captured one of the most-wanted terrorists in Iraq, are now being charged criminally by the Navy for giving the terrorist a bloody lip.

The captive is Ahmed Hasim Abed, who was codenamed “Objective Amber.” He’s the alleged mastermind of the capture, mutilation and deaths of four Blackwater security guards in 2004.

Yep, these three soldiers are heroes! And yet, the Obama admin is moving forward with military trials, I swear the world has turned upside down.

While I’m at it..  do NOT tell the American public how great a religion Islam is or how it is interwoven in to the fabric of our society…

How can Attorney General Holder hem and haw when asked about judiciary precedence in trying terrorist in federal court?   A reasonable person would assume that the AG investigated precedence prior to making this decision,  apparently not since Senator Graham had to tell him it was unprecedented.

And why are we giving miranda rights to terrorists caught on the battle field?  Throughout history, miranda rights have never been given to enemy combatants.. period.  This was even true during the civil war, when Confederate soldiers were captured on US soil.  This move by the administration is unconscionable and threatens the safety of every American.

Who did not see this coming, except the administration?

Over the last ten months, I have been continually   amazed by the actions of the Administration.  Calls to address “crisis” after crisis have been met with swift legislation that our elected officials do not even bother to read, let alone consider the implications their actions have on citizens of this country.  There are numerous concerns regarding the constitutionality of the Federal Government taking over industries.  Some would call this Socialism, I prefer calling it Fascism, where the government controls corporations in the background while offering the appearance of a free market.

We have a President who has either NO understanding of diplomatic protocol as he continually bows to leaders from other countries or wishes to place the United States in a subservient position to the world.

Yesterday Obama  announced that the terrorist mastermind of September 11th, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, will be sent to New York City for a criminal trial in a civilian court.

In that trial, the terrorist will get all the rights afforded an American citizen in a criminal trial, including the right to a fair trial, the right to a taxpayer funded attorney, the right to review all the evidence against him, potentially including classified intelligence matters, the right to exclude evidence against him including, potentially, any confession obtained through enhanced interrogation techniques, etc.

There are moments for every generation which impact the psyche and remain firmly attached in the mind; sadly these moments are usually times that shake the foundation of the world as we know it.  As a young girl, I remember watching the funeral procession for JFK; as an adult, I remember the uncertainty as the horrendous acts of 9-11 shook everyone’s world.

It began as a typical day, suddenly rumors spread through the shop that planes were crashing into New York buildings.  Someone found a radio and we stayed glued to the newscasts attempting to understand what was occurring.  As the day progressed and more information was available, it became obvious that the United States was under attack.  The sky above the shop, normally busy with air traffic became eerily silent as the FAA grounded all public and private aircraft.
