Dear Senator <their name>,
The Senate is moving swiftly toward voting on the health care bill currently before you in chambers. This is an unprecedented maneuver to have the federal government take-over 1/6th of the United States economy. There have been rumblings that Senator Reid will attempt to use cloture to bring the bill to the floor. Limiting the debate on such a serious and potentially economic shattering legislation is unconscionable. This maneuver is no different than a parlor game and is filled with illusion. Debate on the bill should be extended and serious as it should be with any bill of this magnitude. Our founding fathers debated at length and over many months in the formation of this great country, in attempting to use cloture the Senate degrades the principles of this Republic which you are entrusted with upholding.
I urge you to vote NO on any attempt to use cloture in this health care debate.
