Dear <Senator, Congresswoman, Congressman with their name>,
With all the debate surrounding health care legislation a quote from LBJ has been cycling in my head:
“You do not examine legislation in the light of the benefits it will convey if properly administered, but in the light of the wrongs it would do and the harms it would cause if improperly administered.”
It is an acknowledged fact that Medicare fraud steals $60 billion dollars a year from United States taxpayers. If the federal government cannot stop this abuse, how can it be assumed that with a government take-over of the health care system the fraud will not be exponentially larger?
