White House Goes on Attack with Lies

You Lie

David Axelrod, senior adviser to the President was spotted on TV Sunday saying:

Republicans are “using the filibuster in ways that have never been used before,” and that if they continue to use the procedural tool to block Obama’s agenda, “there will need to be a public discussion about exactly what they’re up to.”

Hey David, I’d like for you to tell me one, just one piece of legislation which has been blocked by filibuster in the last year?  What, you can’t because through the entire first year of the Obama’s administration the Democrats have had a super majority which shut-off any attempt to filibuster.  This is an outright lie.  Obviously you think the American people stupid, you believe we haven’t been paying attention to the shenanigans going on in D.C.; the loose in Massachusetts vividly and without doubt showed that Americans are paying attention and do not like what they are seeing.

“If we don’t move forward and we don’t produce something, the American people are going to believe the caricature that was drawn by the Republicans and the health insurance industry. I think that’s a terrible mistake,” Axelrod said.

What David, you say the health care industry is against Obamacare?  Really?

From the Wall Street Journal:

Health insurers are facing renewed fire from President Barack Obama and Democrats, but are still mostly on board with the president’s effort to overhaul the U.S. health-care system.

That’s because the industry conceded months ago to key demands that Mr. Obama has just begun promoting. And insurers still have much to gain from an overhaul because they could get millions of new customers. (emphaise mine)

Oh wait maybe you mean the drug industries?  Or maybe not…

WASHINGTON — The drug industry has authorized its lobbyists to spend as much as $150 million on television commercials supporting President Obama’s health care overhaul, beginning over the August Congressional recess, people briefed on the plans said Saturday.

With House Democrats moving to extract more than that just as the drug makers finalized their advertising plans, the industry lobbyists pressed the Obama administration for public reassurances that it had agreed to cap the industry’s additional costs at $80 billion.

So who’s in bed with big business.. the Obama administration masquerades as the champion and protector of the people with their continued attempts to villainize the health care industry, yet behind closed doors they are swinging deals for their support.

Okay maybe these were not the health care industries you were addressing, if so then which industries are speaking about?   I will not hold my breath waiting for an answer, you have been caught lying to the American public again.

The caricature that Axelrod alludes to is present, it manifests from an administration which continually presents itself as one thing and in actuality is something far different.  Once upon a time the American people believed  anything spoken by a politician, those days are long gone.. and good riddance.  The American people are awake, never to slumber again.. WE are watching and when you attempt to lie the citizens of this country we will call you on it.
