Patriots Call To Pens… New Features

Okay, I get it.  Some feel uncomfortable writing letters..  trust me I get it.  Look at the very top of the tool bar, you will see a link which says  “Sample Letters.”    Roll your mouse over this area and you will see various sample letters which you can copy and paste in to either an email or word document to your elected officials.

I offer these as a courtesy to readers.  These letters are free use property to all patriots, use part of a letter or use the entire thing.. I don’t care… what I do care about is you taking a brief few minutes of your time and contacting your elected officials.

In fact, if you have a letter you have written and would like to offer it to readers here.. you can either copy and paste the letter in the comment section of this post or send it along in the second new feature the contact link also on the very top tool bar.

The time is NOW to make your voices heard!

But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.

John Adams, letter to Abigail Adams, July 17, 1775

Brief excerpts from the  sample letters:

From Fiscal Responsibility:

I am sure you understand living within ones means; average citizens understand this concept all to well.  We are forced to make difficult choices daily with the understanding that today’s choices affect tomorrow’s opportunities.  We understand that using one credit card to pay another monthly credit card bill is not wise or fiscally responsible.  We understand that while we may really, really want a new computer, television or car IF we cannot afford it we are threatening the financial well-being of our family.

LBJ letter:

With all the debate surrounding health care legislation a quote from LBJ has been cycling in my head:

“You do not examine legislation in the light of the benefits it will convey if properly administered, but in the light of the wrongs it would do and the harms it would cause if improperly administered.”

Health Care Core Values:

The primary debate regarding the overhaul of the health care system has centered on the financial cost of the various plans.  There is no doubt that the financial liability to Americans in this re-definition is of vital importance; the bigger picture though rests on how the proposals will negatively erode fundamental and core values of this great country.

Go for it Patriots.. make your voice heard!

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it.

Thomas Paine, The American Crisis, No. 4, September 11, 1777
