Quick post before work.. more to come later..

I want one individual to explain to me, why Obama was given the Noble Peace Prize?

Name one thing he has accomplished which warrants him being given this prize?

According to FOX News:

Obama Wins Noble Peace Prize

OSLO — President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,” the Norwegian Nobel Committee said, citing his outreach to the Muslim world and attempts to curb nuclear proliferation.

Excuse me?  You have to be kidding me?  Outreach?  I call it placating American sovereignty.

Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future,” the committee said. “His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world’s population.

Attitudes and values of the world?  Like the hatred of the United States Freedom and Liberty.. that is what the apology tour of Europe turned in to whenever he spoke about this country.. we were wrong.. we were wrong.. Give me a break.. this guy has never held the United States up as a beacon of liberty and freedom.

Obama has as president created a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play,” the committee said.

Ahh and here we get to the fundamental truth.. the avocation of United States sovereignty to forces that DO NOT respect our freedom, liberty or Constitution.  Okay open thread.. what are your thoughts…

The Afghanistan war effort needs additional troops to control that situation…Obama has been on the fence (as with most of his decisions) deciding what to do…does he do what needs to be done in Afghanistan or does he buckle to the left anti-war crowd…now add a Nobel Peace Prize to his list on non-accomplishments…did they just stroke his ego with this prize to cause him to pull back and be the “Great Man of Peace” they now say he is?

Just keep talking Prez…that’s all you’re good at, hopefully somewhere, someone will rise up and lead this country back to greatness.

    How true Geno.

The thing concerning me at present, as though there is not a long list, is how Obama recently stated the Taliban should have a place in the Afghan government. Anyone who doesn’t believe that the Taliban and al Qaeda are intimately tied together, needs to research the not so distant history between the leaders of these organizations. Or has everyone forgotten how the Taliban not only harbored bin Laden but refused to hand him over?

Here’s a great site that offers military perspective on the war and historical information: Long War Journal
    From Long Journal:

The Taliban’s leadership, including Mullah Omar, consistently refused to turn over Osama bin Laden prior to the September 11 attacks. And after al Qaeda’s most devastating attacks, Mullah Omar again refused to answer calls for bin Laden to be turned over – even under the threat of war. The 9/11 Commission detailed the repeated efforts of both the Clinton and Bush administrations to get the Taliban’s leader to give up his most notorious friend. Those efforts failed – every time.

In all likelihood, this will never change. Mullah Omar simply will not abandon his longtime ally. Mullah Omar is the “Leader of the Faithful” and al Qaeda has sworn allegiance to his Emirate. Osama bin Laden himself has sworn his personal fealty to Mullah Omar. For Omar to betray bin Laden and al Qaeda now would be a colossal blemish on the Taliban’s legitimacy in the broader jihadist community’s eyes. Indeed, al Qaeda leaders have long recognized that Mullah Omar is firmly behind them.

While Obama rhetoric may cater to the far-left and the United Nation supporters of the world (with Noble Peace Prize officials included in this category), the threat to to our safety, our freedom, our liberty now resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Peace Prize or Not.

In fact now that the hugely egoistical Obama has the Noble Peace Prize to include in his empty resume, I have little doubt that he will strive to fulfill the Dreams of The Noble Prize Committee, regardless of how this effects the safety of the United States.
