From the beginning questions were raised regarding the legitimacy of Obama being awarded the Nobel Peace prize.  In his entire background there was nothing that warranted being given this International award.  Many chalked it up to affirmative action by the committee forever tainting the stature of the award.

Saying he is focused on ensuring that Libyans can “live out their own aspirations,” Obama defended America’s involvement in Libya,
saying, “we’re not invading a country, we’re not acting alone – we’re acting under a mandate issued by the United Nations Security Council in an unprecedented fashion and with unprecedented speed.” (emphasis mine)

What Obama is saying in this part of his statement about the Nobel Peace prize in essence,  is that a “mandate” by an international entity (the United Nations) which is not bond by the United States Constitution supersedes  his oath of office to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Do any of these definitions make you feel better?  This is an ongoing pattern of the pResident, he demurs the power of his position to the United Nations with its international law.

I am beyond words.  We have NO business bombing Libya.  If some of the Arab nations want the fighting between its nut-job leader Gaddafi and opposition forces to end, how about this,  let them do the dirty deed.  And why are we bombing Libya.. humanitarian reasons they say but that flies in the face of decade long genocide that continues in places like Darfur and Sudan to name two.  Or how about just today Syria murdered 6 of its citizens today during a protest.  Will this be the next no-fly zone?

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, often called the CRC or the UNCRC, is an international convention seeking to establish “civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights [for] children.” After ratifying or acceding to it, nations are bound to the CRC by international law.

Imagine if your national government had the audacity to appoint a “guardian” to monitor your child from birth, charged with the legal responsibility to evaluate your decisions as a parent and armed with the legal authority to “intervene, prevent or rectify” any violations of your child’s rights. Public and private schools alike are policed by the national government, and classes begin with singing about the principles of peace, tolerance, and the United Nations. Your child’s confidential medical records, stored in a nation-wide electronic register from birth until age twenty, can be accessed at any time, without your knowledge, by any physician, teacher, or government social worker in the nation.

Now stop imagining, because for parents in the 193 countries that have ratified the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of the Child, each of these scenarios is true.

Today from Rasmussen:

Just 22% of Likely U.S. Voters say the country is heading in the right direction, the lowest level of confidence found since before President Obama’s inauguration in January 2009.

According to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey taken the week ending Sunday, March 13, 72% of voters now say the country is heading down the wrong track, also at its highest level since before the inauguration.

If this isn’t a vote of no confidence, I don’t know what is.

As if we didn’t already know, the health care law is the platform toward a single payer government run system:

Be mindful that each of those industrialized countries who currently have government run systems are being bankrupted by the very system.

Update at end, the violence continues.

As a Tea Party Patriot I believe in freedom and fiscal responsibility, because of this belief I’ve been called a racist.  While at local rallies, I witnessed MoveOn attempt to instigate violence with aggressive, in your face screaming and I am called a hate monger.  The former Speaker of the House accused American people concerned about the direction of their country of being astroturf.  A madman creates horrendous violence in Arizona and the local sheriff immediately blames patriots with no proof.  Yes at every turn Tea Party Patriots have been villanized, with no substantial proof.   Even the supposed incident which happened in D.C. during the health care debate, where Representatives were allegedly called the “n-” word was NEVER verified even though a $100K reward was offered for proof.  All false accusations.

What we know with absolute certainty is the left uses violent rhetoric and actions without any hint of decency.  Continually they make threats and here is the latest, directly after the “tolerant left.”  This email was sent to Wisconsin Senators after their vote to limit collective bargaining.

During an interview on Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” Tea Party Caucus leader Michele Bachmann (R-MN) refused to back down from previous (2009) comments characterizing the Obama administration as a “gangster government.” She may have even doubled down.

“I don’t take back my statement on gangster government,” she told host David Gregory. “I think that there have been actions that have been taken by this government that I think are corrupt, thoroughly corrupt.”

“I believe the actions of this government have been emblematic of ones that have not been based on true American values,” she added, before coming close to doubling down on her previous comments: “I think the president’s actions in the last two years speak for themselves.”

The number of temporary healthcare reform waivers granted by the Obama administration to organizations climbed to more than 1,000, according to new numbers disclosed by the Department of Health and Human Services.

HHS posted 126 new waivers on Friday, bringing the total to 1,040 organizations that have been granted a one-year exemption from a new coverage requirement included in the healthcare reform law enacted almost a year ago. Waivers have become a hot-button issue for Republicans, eager to expose any vulnerabilities in the reform law.

In order to avoid disruption in the insurance market, the healthcare overhaul gives HHS the power to grant waivers to firms that cannot meet new annual coverage limits in 2011. The waivers have typically been granted to so-called “mini-med” plans that offer limited annual coverage — as low as $2,000 — that would fall short of meeting the new annual coverage floor of $750,000 in 2011.

“We don’t want to take away people’s health insurance before they have some realistic other choices,” HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in an interview with The Hill earlier this year.

And what will those “realistic” choices cost the states in mandated coverage, because that is what Sebelius is talking about.  Lets hear from Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels:

For state governments, the bill presents huge new costs, as we are required to enroll 15 million to 20 million more people in our Medicaid systems. In Indiana, our independent actuaries have pegged the price to state taxpayers at $2.6 billion to $3 billion over the next 10 years. This is a huge burden for our state, and yet another incremental expenditure the law’s authors declined to account for truthfully.

Perhaps worse, the law expects to conscript the states as its agents in its takeover of health care. It assumes that we will set up and operate its new insurance “exchanges” for it, using our current welfare apparatuses to do the numbingly complex work of figuring out who is eligible for its subsidies, how much each person or family is eligible for, redetermining this eligibility regularly, and more. Then, we are supposed to oversee all the insurance plans in the exchanges for compliance with Washington’s dictates about terms and prices.

And who do you think will be paying for the increased cost in state Medicaid?
