Courage To See

Have you noticed the most recent tyrannical moves from the Obama administration?   Forget the Constitution and governing, this administration is hell bent on pushing their agenda  through by any means necessary.

Written into the Declaration of Independence is a simple imperative, “Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” Our nation was built on this concept, but the Obama administration is using its power to write regulation to circumvent the will of the people and advance its own agenda.

Three recent examples of this over reach are shocking and all Americans should demand an end to the practice and a reversal of what has already been done.  Citizens need to think, whether they agree with the reasons for the circumvention or not, about what is at stake.  Using regulation to specifically subjugate the will of the people to the agenda of any president is nothing less than tyranny.

I found this  exam created by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute for their American Civic Literacy program.  The exam itself is interesting and makes you think, perahsp about topics you haven’t thought about in a long time.  Take your time with the exam, some of the wording is a bit awkward and requires concentration.  While I am absolutely against cheating of any kind I believe it only fair to warn you the in answering question 30 it would benefit you to think Keynesian economics.. if that has you confused think liberal economic theory.

I scored a 90.91 missing 3, which if I had taken my time I may have answered correctly.. but who knows maybe not and yep #30 was one of my wrong answers.  ENJOY!

Oh and BTW, the site also offers a comparison of us common folks and the people we have elected.. guess who scores better?  Yes, of course we did but after watching Congress lately this should surprise no one.

Also.. I vaguely remember civics being one of the school programs the Obama administration was thinking about dropping, even though schools who used the civics curriculum showed substantial improvement in student scores. can anyone confirm this?

As a beginning allow me to acknowledge that there is evil in the world.  Political evil (PE) is generally perpetrated by those (mainly males) who have money and power.  In terming this evil, I am advocating that any who wish to destroy the freedom and liberty given to us as people through our inalienable rights as evil.  The PE, both individuals and groups, seek to fundamentally change this country.  In speaking to fundamental transformation, I am speaking specifically to their desire to move the United States away from a democratic republic to a totalitarian state masked in the benevolent disguise of justice, whether that benevolence is shaded in social, environmental or economic terms or reform. Recently I have been privy to more than a couple discussions, both virtual and in real life about government detention camps.  Much of this speculation and chatter surrounds the canceling of an encore performance (otherwise known as rerun) of a Jesse Ventura, Conspiracy Theory episode entitled “Police State.”

First let me say outright, this type of discussion gives me a wrenching headache.  Theories by their very nature can be void of facts; their sole purpose is to explain a circumstance or occurrence typically based on generally accepted principles independent of the thing being explained.   The connections advocated in theories may be legitimate or they may be based in fallacies of logic.   The fallacies are normally based on a predetermined position by the theorist.  Often times with conspiracy theories, the creator of the logic train places enough factual and verifiable information in its conceptualization to create the appearance of logic and truth.

I possess very clear and concise feelings about “gay marriage,”  some of which may surprise readers.  Let me just say right out, I do NOT believe the definition of marriage needs to be expanded to include gays/lesbians.  Period.

Surprised?  Don’t be allow me to explain.

Traditionally marriage is viewed through the lens of religion, with most people understanding the phrase “sacrament of marriage” as possessing a religious overtone.  A majority of couples choosing marriage perform their vows in a church,  a smaller number opt for a civil ceremony at a local courthouse.

I take issue with the Tea Party Nation, the self-imposed grand poobah
Judson Phillips seeks to dilute attention away from Patriots laser sharp
focus of fiscal responsibility to include social issues.
I would suggest that Tea Party Patriots have been so successful in
informing the populace of the shenanigans being perpetrate on the
American people because of its clear focus on fiscal responsibility and
its call for Constitutional adherence by elected officials. The wave
of support for the Tea Party Movement continues to grow, according to
Rasmussen in October 41% of polled eligible voters view the Tea Party
movement favorably with 47% stating the movement is good for the
country. For a movement whose birth was less than 2 years ago, these
numbers are astounding.

Many may not be aware of the Pigford settlement, the mainstream media has all but ignored what amounts to a flood gate of reparations soon to be paid out to “black farmers.”

Black farmers is in quotes above because the necessity of proof  of  USDA discrimination on the part of individuals in this settlement is laughable.  Fill out some minor paperwork claiming you were denied USDA loans because you are black and shazam.. you are entitled to $50,000 in reparations from the government.  No proof needed, other than your word since the USDA did not keep files of the loans applications which were turned down.

There are some who have no concept of how Islam is creeping Sharia compliance in to the societal fabric of the United States.  It comes in small steps, small decisions through courts or other administers of justice, yet the end result is the same.. adherence to Sharia.
