Addressing the Lies, Climate Hysterics Want You to Believe

Posted by courage On December - 16 - 2009

Interesting list detailing why climate change is natural and NOT man-made.

Climate Change Is Natural: 100 Reasons Why

1) There is “no real scientific proof” that the current warming is caused by the rise of greenhouse gases from man’s activity.

2) Man-made carbon dioxide emissions throughout human history constitute less than 0.00022 percent of the total naturally emitted from the mantle of the earth during geological history.

3) Warmer periods of the Earth’s history came around 800 years before rises in CO2 levels.

4) After World War II, there was a huge surge in recorded CO2 emissions but global temperatures fell for four decades after 1940.

5) Throughout the Earth’s history, temperatures have often been warmer than now and CO2 levels have often been higher – more than ten times as high.

6) Significant changes in climate have continually occurred throughout geologic time.

Health Care and Oath of Office Letter

Posted by courage On December - 15 - 2009

New letter dealing with Senators, health care and their oath of office.  As always use what you feel is appropriate.  You can find it here…

Health Care and Oath of Office

Lord Monckton is a former science policy adviser to Prime Minister Margret Thatcher and played a key role in a legal challenge heard in the High Court of Justice regarding Al Gore’s movie “An Inconvenient Truth.”  The focus in the  court case were statistics and claims from the movie which offered little to none scientific validity.

The court case arose from concern that the movie was being shown as indisputable science to school age children across Great Britain and did not carry opposing scientific data which directly contradicts numerous aspects of the movie.

Listening to the Greenpeace activist you get the feeling that the entire global warming movement could be equated to some pseudo-religion with everything resting on “faith” and the doctrine of special interest groups.

What did the High Court of Justice find in the United Kingdom?

The Government Explodes Six-Figure Jobs While WE Clip Coupons

Posted by courage On December - 13 - 2009

Friday the USA Today carried in an in-depth article examining the pay increases of Federal employees.  Would it surprise you that …

Federal employees making salaries of $100,000 or more jumped from 14% to 19% of civil servants during the recession’s first 18 months — and that’s before overtime pay and bonuses are counted.

Federal workers are enjoying an extraordinary boom time — in pay and hiring — during a recession that has cost 7.3 million jobs in the private sector.

How obscene is that startling fact?  As we clip coupons, lose our jobs,  worry about how we will manage with decreased hours at work or increases in our health care policies, the federal government plays it foot-loose with our money; receiving pay increases that overshadow any raise I have ever seen in the private sector, especially during a recessionary period.  The government prospers while we wait in bread lines.

The trend to six-figure salaries is occurring throughout the federal government, in agencies big and small, high-tech and low-tech. The primary cause: substantial pay raises and new salary rules.

“There’s no way to justify this to the American people. It’s ridiculous,” says Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, a first-term lawmaker who is on the House’s federal workforce subcommittee.

Welcome to Washington Representative Chaffetz, were up is down and down is sideways and never the twain shall meet.  And yes Sir, it is ridiculous as many the American’s struggle to make ends meet.  I hope that you can maintain what appears to be commonsense because Washington seems to suck that trait right out of elected officials.

What Is Congress Doing? The Manic Spending Has To Stop!

Posted by courage On December - 13 - 2009

The Senate is set to vote on their version of  an Ominbus bill today.  The House passed their version of the bill on Thursday. The House bill was a …

…1,088-page, $1.1 trillion measure would provide $447 billion in operating budgets for 10 Cabinet departments, awarding increases averaging almost 10 percent. On top of that comes more than $600 billion in payments for federal benefit programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.

The 221-202 vote to approve the House-Senate compromise bill sends it to the Senate, which may pass it this weekend and ship it on to President Barack Obama. Not a single Republican voted for the bill.

The generosity comes on top of an infusion of cash to domestic agencies in February’s economic stimulus bill and a $410 billion measure in March that also bestowed budget increases well above inflation. (emphasis mine)

When is the Congress going to understand that deficit spending will ruin the economy?  Back in February Representative Jim McGovern, Democrat of Massachusetts, said that spending bill

Let Obama OWN Climate Regulations

Posted by courage On December - 10 - 2009

Obama has been advocating stringent controls placed on just about everything related to your present environment.  Look around.. what do you see?  Are your lights on?  Is your heat running?  Do you have a refrigerator?  How about transportation, do you own a car?   Are you a home owner?  Aspects of each item that adds comfort or makes your life fundamentally possible are going to be effected should climate change (cap and trade) legislation pass the Senate.

In a more indirect manner, what about food?  Do you buy clothes?  For that matter, just think anything you purchase, are you ready to pay higher prices across the board for these items?  If cap and trade passes, everything.. read that again EVERYTHING in your life will increase in price.  As electricity costs rise, as the price of energy increases, the cost to produce everything around you will increase.  Manufactures will pass the cost of doing business down to the lowest common denominator, you the consumer.

McCain Calls for Apology from Reid

Posted by courage On December - 8 - 2009

I won’t hold my breath waiting for Reid to apologize, nor should you.

Just to set the record straight, lets  look back in time:
The Suffrage movement championed the vote for women.  In 1918, Congress began to consider an amendment to the Constitution to grant women the right to vote.  The Suffragettes called for both the Democrats and Republicans to place on their political platforms support for the amendment.  The Republicans compiled without opposition, but the Democrats declined to do so, maintaining that the issue was too divisive for the party to take a stand.  The 19th Amendment was ratified on August 18, 1920.
The Civil Rights Act was passed through a bipartisan resolution in 1964.  Without Republicans voting overwhelming in favor of this legislation it would not have passed.  Only one Republican Senator participated in the filibuster against this bill, the remaining Senators were all Democrats.
In fact, since 1933, Republicans had a more positive record on civil rights than the Democrats.  Prior to the 1964 vote on civil rights there had been 26 major civil rights votes, in over 80% of the votes Democrats opposed civil rights legislation.  By contrast the Republican party voted in favor of civil rights legislation 96% of the time.
Another inconvenient truth which the Democrats apparently don’t want you to know.
