Daily Kos Admits Fraudulent Polling Data

Posted by courage On June - 29 - 2010

WOW !

Gee, who would have thought the polls used on the liberal blog DailyKos were bogus?   A minor indicator may have been that their polls consistently showed stronger support for all the left/progressive agenda than any other polling agencies on the same subject matter.

I have just published a report by three statistics wizards showing, quite convincingly, that the weekly Research 2000 State of the Nation poll we ran the past year and a half was likely bunk. (emphasis mine)

Kos continually used the polling research they commissioned to validate the positions they advocated, which allowed their readers the false satisfaction they were within the ideological mainstream. I do give Daily Kos credit for being forthright with their discovery; yet for a year and half, while these polls deviated greatly from other respected polling agencies, didn’t they think it odd?  Such is the case though for many progressive types, even when faced with stark bare truths, if they do not fit neatly in to their ideological schema they debase the facts as fabrications of some right wing conspiracy.  Of course it did serve their cause, at least for the last year and a half.  Whimsically fabricated data eventually will be challenged and such was the case.  This places in to doubt any “information” gained from the blog, what reputable information gatherer would have “bunk” statistical data presented a fact for a year and half?

I prefer polling done by Rasmussen, they solely canvas registered voters for their polls.  Registered voters are at least somewhat connected to the political process.  On particular surveys done by Rasmussen they only use “likely” voters and have shown the most reliable predictions during elections.

From a recent survey performed by Rasmussen:

Even as oil washes up on their shores from the still-spewing oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico, 79% of Louisiana voters believe offshore oil drilling should be allowed, and nearly as many support deepwater drilling.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Louisiana finds that just 15% do not believe offshore oil drilling should be allowed.

Oval Office Address… A Push for Cap and Trade

Posted by courage On June - 15 - 2010

Tonight the pResident will address the American people from the Oval office.  The official stated reason for this address is to update the people on the BP Gulf catastrophe, with the hidden agenda a prime time lecture to US citizens about the dire need for Congress to pass a comprehensive  energy program otherwise known as Cap and Trade.  Never waste a CRISIS to implement policy which has stalled in the Senate after barely passing the House last year.  Cap and Trade legislation will destroy the economy and place further hardship on households across the country as prices for every commodity we purchase jumps in price.

I don’t expect the pResident to deal with the ineptness of his administration in dealing with the clean-up and protection of the shores of Gulf.  I would hope to hear explanations and solutions offered on the fiasco of the government response.  These are a couple of items I would like to see addressed:

~  Why has the Jones Act which prevents foreign ships to operate in our sovereign waters not been suspended?  The Danes who are considered the experts in oil spill containment offered on day two of the spill to send specialized ships and gear to the region to help and were told .. NO.  In fact 13 countries have offered their assistance and have been told NO.

~  Governor Jindal   requested permission to erect shoal barriers within days of the spill to assist in protecting the delicate marsh areas, after considerable delay and much frustration Jindal finally told the federal government to f$%^ off and made the decision to begin creating the barriers, but only after the oil had already begun to taint the shores.

~  Why has a no-fly zone been instituted over the spill, which prevents reporters from first hand reporting of the devastation?

~  Why is the the military being used for a tight security lockdown on  Grand Isle, Louisiana ?

~  And what of the reports that the leak is actually below the ocean seabed, which brings an entirely new worst case scenario into the picture?  For additional information on this potentially eco-destroying possibility, check out Oil Drum, take time to read the comment section below.

My prediction the pResident won’t address any of these issues, rather staying true to form we will see him attempting to coherse the American public in embracing cap and trade. NEVER waste a CRISIS.

What questions would you like to see the pResident address?

Will any of these valid questions be answered?

Obama Pledges $400 Million to Gaza and Palestinians

Posted by courage On June - 10 - 2010

The United States Gulf is experiencing a catastrophe of unprecedented proportions, the spewing BP oil now extends to the Florida Keys.  We as a nation are experiencing day 52 of the Gulf coast held hostage and Obama has yet to speak with the CEO of British Petroleum, he’d rather huddle with the theorists now occupying the White House and play games of “what if.”

Oh but wait, never mind the ecological disaster which may not be cleaned in our lifetime, lets meet with Palestinian Leader Mahmoud Abbas and promise to give the Gaza people and Palestine $400 million dollars for humanitarian purposes.

President Obama pledged an infusion of $400 million in aid for housing, school construction and business development in the Palestinian territories Wednesday, saying after a one-on-one meeting with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas that the situation in Gaza is “inherently unstable.”

“We agree that Israelis have the right to prevent arms from entering into Gaza that can be used to launch attacks into Israeli territory,” Obama told reporters after his meeting with Abbas in the White House. “But we also think that it is important for us to explore new mechanisms so that we can have goods and services, and economic development, and the ability of people to start their own businesses, and to grow the economy and provide opportunity within Gaza.”

And although I have seen reports questioning the “hardship” being experienced in Gaza, the primary question remains who is responsible for any dismal conditions currently in Gaza?  The cold hard fact is the terrorist organization Hamas is the party responsible for any chaos  in the region.  Even the administration admits that Hamas controls Gaza.  As long as the Palestinian government is complacent in allowing Hamas to terrorize any organization or individual citizen who does not adhere to Sharia law under the Koran, there will be continual hardship for the Gaza people.  In fact a summer camp built by the United Nations in a Gaza neighborhood was recently destroyed.  Some Hamas organizations were outspokenly against the camp days before the destruction.  While a high ranking leader of Hamas condemned the incident, it falls in line with other acts of terror used by Hamas or groups who adhere to Sharia law.

While the pResident states the money supplied will be allocated by organizations performing relief work, there is no guarantee that the money will make one bit of difference in the quality of life for the people in the area controlled by Hamas.  Oh, the Hamas terrorists may be able to eat, buy a home or start a business with the money but for the people outside the Hamas terror loop.. life will be the same.

As Representative Pence asks the pResident on the floor of the House, “Whose side are you on?”

I can only assume his question was asked in rhetorical manner, because from where I am sitting the pResident is not on the side of the American people nor does he show support to long standing allies.

American citizens of the Gulf, indeed of the entire country, the State Department assures you..

“the projects “a down payment” on the U.S. commitment to improving life in Gaza.”

Now doesn’t that make you feel good?

Are We A Nation of Laws?

During the recent Jewish Heritage Celebration at the White House…

One has to wonder IF during a celebration of Black History month at the White House Thomas made a statement about returning all Black citizens to Africa, how that would be interpreted by the liberal/progressive/Left ?  In all likelihood we will never know, since overt racism like that would be quickly condemned by the Left and rightfully so.

From ABC News:

Former Clinton special counsel and spokesman Lanny J. Davis issued a statement Sunday calling on the White House to suspend Thomas’ privileges in the White House press room, and for Hearst to consider a similar suspension of her position as a nationally syndicated columnist.

“Of course Helen has the right as a private citizen under the First Amendment to speak her mind, even as an anti-Jewish bigot — but not as a member, much less privileged member with a reserved seat, in the WH press corps,” Davis wrote.

Indeed as an American citizen Thomas does have the right to speak any misinformed opinion she may hold, yet when the line of private citizen crosses over and affords her the platform of a “privileged” news correspondence with access to spew her ill-informed opinions something has to give.

Being a part of the White House press corps allows Thomas a position of power in the media.  Her skewed beliefs can be presented as fact and questions can be slanted toward increased anti-semantic intolerance, with little to no moderation.  I have teetered between having her White House press pass revoked, in essence disallowing her a platform to speak, to removing her from the esteemed “Dean” of the corps and relegating her to a backroom seat.  On one hand moments like this allow for discussion of the insidious nature of racism, yet how often do we as society do we allow those who have power to continually perpetuate ignorance?

So will the left call Helen Thomas out for her comments?  Or will them remain mute, condoning the ignorance through their silence?

In adding some depth to this question, take a look at Helen Thomas during a White House press conference as she questions Gibbs immediately after the Israeli incident with the Flotilla.  Prior to knowing   facts surrounding the incident Thomas castigates  the administration for not condemning Israel.

Senator Harry Reid is a Buffoon

Posted by courage On June - 3 - 2010

From the Washington Times:

During a press conference last Friday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, told reporters about a bipartisan amicus brief to the Supreme Court supporting the right of military families to bury the remains of their loved ones without being protested. I asked Mr. Reid if the same right to privacy should extend to private citizens whose homes are protested by public unions. Mr. Reid dodged the issue saying, “I don’t know anything about lawns and Bank of America executives.”

Of course, why would Reid know anything about the SEIU workers who stormed the home of a Bank of America lawyer and protested on his front lawn?  This act of terrorism by SEIU thugs was widely reported on by the media when it happened.

Are these congresscritters that disconnected from what is happening in this country or is his feigned ignorance because SEUI is intimately tied to the Democratic party and could be considered the enforcement arm of the party?

In any case.. Senator Reid, you are a buffoon!

The Perpetual Candidate Syndrome: Mark Leyva

Posted by courage On April - 29 - 2010

Political operatives are always on the look-out for methods to increase their exposure.  The perpetual is a candidate disconnected with voters. They present themselves as the one thing they are not… electable.  Since one particular candidate has chosen to “go public” with his self-appointed leadership position of the Lake County Tea Party, the time has come to examine and shake out what is the driving factor behind the missteps, inconsistencies and character behind Mark Leyva.  After turning Mark Leyva upside-down, it is interesting to see what shakes out.

Visualizing the Obama Cuts in the Budget

Posted by courage On April - 28 - 2010

Until recently the concept of trillions of dollars was more apt to be spoken about while paying a board game or in the context of a joke.  As common people, who work for a daily salary, even numbers in the millions are challenging to grasp.  For most of us earning a million dollars will require decades of toil for an employer, even then for some that number may never be achieved.
