What’s On Your Mind.. Open Thread Sunday

Posted by courage On November - 15 - 2009

question mark Over the last ten months, I have been continually   amazed by the actions of the Administration.  Calls to address “crisis” after crisis have been met with swift legislation that our elected officials do not even bother to read, let alone consider the implications their actions have on citizens of this country.  There are numerous concerns regarding the constitutionality of the Federal Government taking over industries.  Some would call this Socialism, I prefer calling it Fascism, where the government controls corporations in the background while offering the appearance of a free market.

We have a President who has either NO understanding of diplomatic protocol as he continually bows to leaders from other countries or wishes to place the United States in a subservient position to the world.

Update at End of Post.. Call your House members TODAY !

On Thursday, as part of a National House Call, I visited my federal representative’s office after work.. the Dishonorable and reading impaired Peter Visclosky.  Little did I know that I would walk in to an episode of the Twilight Zone, where the expected becomes twisted, reality becomes the skewed and such is the state of our Republic.

Dear Fellow American Patriots:

For what already seems like an eternity, we have been waging a war against the deception in Washington from our elected officials. They are quick to cite half-truths and at times blatant lies to ease the unrest of our souls. When these false statements fail to stifle our passion, they have resorted to name calling in attempts to silence the voices which cherish liberty and freedom.

The bottom line is we are now in the final countdown.

The entire House will vote on a health care bill this week, as early as Thursday afternoon.

For months we have all been working feverishly to make sure that government run health care legislation is not passed. We have done it all:

We’ve yelled.

We’ve called.

We’ve emailed.

We’ve written.

We’ve rallied.

We’ve even marched on the Capitol.

Still our cries and concerns have not been heard.

We have cried tears of despair and shouted in frustration, but still many are not listening.

We know you all are so very tired. We know that each of you work tirelessly each and everyday, trying to do your part, to make a difference.  Each of you has done a great job at speaking your hearts.

Some are calling for more angry protests, even storming the Capitol, but let’s not give the media another chance to falsely portray us as an unruly mob.

On Thursday, November 5th, Representative Michele Bachman (MN) will stand on the steps of the Capitol in Washington, D.C. She will be joined by other Members of Congress and many Patriots from across this country.  People will be traveling from coast to coast, to stand shoulder to shoulder with other Patriots in Washington this week.

We know most of you can’t get to Washington again so soon…..

So let’s join Representative Bachman and other Patriots by turning out at State Capitols and Congressional district offices across the country.

Instead of yelling or protesting, let’s sing “God Bless America” at 12:30 pm EST at every location across the country.  Let’s send a message that says “WE STAND TOGETHER!”

1.  GO TO U.S. CAPITOL at 12 noon EST

If you can make it to D.C., stand up with the other patriots who will be standing with Representative Bachman.

At 12:30, everyone will sing “God Bless America.”

After singing with Patriots from across this country, deliver handwritten letters to the Representatives telling them to VOTE NO on government controlled health care.

At 12:30 pm EST, at the exact same time around the country, in Washington, D.C. and at your local Congressional offices, join together and sing “God Bless America.”

Unions Pushing Their Agenda

Posted by courage On October - 17 - 2009

H/T to One Nerve Left: Coming to a home near you… SEIU

One Nerve lays out how providers of home health care for loved ones are being forced in to join a union, read her article at the link above.  First Illinois, will Indiana follow suit?  Who knows but those that believe unions have the best interest of members at heart are sadly mistaken.  Unions have become big business; they exchange manufactured products which traditional business markets for a sliver of the rank and files toil or would that be soul?  Unions have long since quit negotiating for their members, their sole concern is the percentage of dues they can extort from each members pay monthly.  Just look at these home health care providers and see what the pay-out is to the unions.

What would the unions get for this new responsibility if the 3,000 families voted to be represented?

“They’d get 2 percent of whatever the state sends us,” Harris said. “And if I chose not to be a member, I’d still have to pay my ‘fair share.’ “

House Bill 3200.. Broken Down

Posted by courage On October - 13 - 2009

Yes I admit it, I have read the entire  1,000 page plus of House Bill 3200.  What made me decide to embark on this tedious and mind-numbing adventure?  Perhaps it was the challenge or perhaps it was because far to many elected officials have neglected their duty as representatives.  I’m sure no one has forgotten the negligence they displayed in failing to read the Stimulus Bill.

To add me in this endeavor, I used a meta-analysis method as I read through the bill.  See others, from individuals to organizations had already read the bill and were offering their analysis of its contents.  I found myself wondering if what they interpreted as to the meaning of the bill would coincide with what I was reading.  So I cross-referenced as I read House 3200 and surprisingly I found myself agreeing with most of the analysis as to meaning.  The italics in parts of my analysis are from the thoughts I had while reading the bill.  Here is what I found broken down…

Lets Say 20% of DR.’s Retire Early…

Posted by courage On October - 13 - 2009

Lets work with these numbers:  We will start with 20 million, roughly half the number the White House states are the uninsured in the country, are suddenly infused into the health care system, what happens?  Here’s the scenario: long waits to see a doctor,  then even longer waits for medical testing, once tested treatment is delayed because of the high volume for the limited resources, does this make sense?  Now lets say that 20% of the current physicians chose to retire early because of the mandatory government regulations which control their very career, from House Bill 3200:
