Beep…. Senator Bayh’s Voicemail is FULL

Posted by courage On December - 20 - 2009

Imagine that.. wonder why?

Could it have anything to do with the Reid & Company banging out a sweat deal payoff to Senator Nelson in the health care package?

Pay-offs and bribes seem to be the way Congress is doing business these days, for those unfamiliar with overt tactics.. rest assured it is the Chicago-way.

Lets see heck just since Thanksgiving….

It was Cash for Cloture day for Sen. Mary Landrieu, who secured a $300 million payoff to give the majority the required 60 votes for cloture on a Demcare bill…that has been replaced with another bill that the American public STILL HAS NOT SEEN.  Oh well, maybe in a couple of days?

Now we have Senator Nelson’s vote being bought with an obscene price tag;  Nebraska will never have to pay for it’s share of Medicaid, ever!

How does this sit with you?  How many dollars will your state be forking over to help off-set this sweat deal?

Anyone think this is a good idea?

Obama Clarifies: Job Stimulation is Health Care Reform

Posted by courage On December - 5 - 2009

head xrayHe hasn’t been ignoring job creation in the United States, because his health care reform the Pelosi/Reid health care initiatives are about job creation.

What has happened is a lot of the debate in Washington has been around health care, so people think, well, I guess they must not be working on jobs,” Obama said Friday in Allentown, Pennsylvania. “No, we’ve been working on jobs the whole time. Health care is part and parcel with where we need to take our economy.

Perhaps the President should consider how he will replace the doctors surveyed who stated they will retire early, instead of dealing with Pelosi/Reid health care. (previously discussed here)

Truly, I never realized the Congressional proposals were about creating jobs.. who knew?  I thought the health care initiatives were about denying procedures like mammograms and cutting off Medicare Advantage to seniors.

Over the last two days I have tried to phone Senator’s Bayh’s office to no avail.  I have emailed his office and received a canned response.  Just once, I’d like him to address the actual issues I raise in my letters to him.. just once!

He keeps stating he is against the escalating national debt and how Congress needs to stop this shameful spending.  Yet he votes to allow the Senate bill to move forward.. along with its $1 plus trillion price tag which will bankrupt the country.  Senator, you can spout the championing of America.. but when Democratic push comes to shove.. you place America, your constituents last on your list of loyalties.

What can you expect from an elitist who didn’t think it important enough to hold a single town hall meeting during the summer break?  Well Evan, I voted for you when you ran for Governor, again when you ran for the Senate… you are up for re-election in 2010.. hmmm and I’m thinking you just may be looking for another job come January 2011.

Consider this your pink slip…

Senate to Vote on Health Care “Reform”

Posted by courage On November - 20 - 2009

Readers should already know my feelings on the proposed health care “reform” and take-over of 1/6th of the US economy.

Rumblings are being heard that Senator Reid will move to vote this Saturday.  He will be moving to have Senators vote on cloture, meaning that debate will be limited to 20 hours before voting on the bill.  How can legislation with devastating economic upheaval be rushed through without extended debate?  I believe it is because as more and more Americans learn of the actual impact on their individual lives, the more polls show that Americans do NOT want this terrible power grab.

New letters are available to copy and paste urging your Senator to vote NO on this legislation.  See top tool bar of this site under “sample letters”

If you aren’t paying attention, perhaps now you will.  For decades organizations such as the American Cancer Society have recommended  early baseline mammography for women starting at age 40.  In addition for decades feminists have advocated that women learn more about their bodies; encouraging  women  to learn breast self-exam techniques.

Any woman my age should remember the early book “Our Bodies, Ourselves,” which was the first comprehensive book which advocated women learning about their bodies. These groups (Feminists) and organizations (such as The American Cancer Society) care about the well-being of the woman, unlike the US Preventative Services Task Force.

The focus of this governmental agency centers on using a cost analysis, weighing treatment or procedure cost against benefit and outcome.  Welcome to rationing, the government decides who can get which procedures and whether these procedures and treatments are cost effective.
